Website QA Checklist Standard Format

Akank Solutions QA Checklist (Before deliver the work to Client)

Primary Information

  1. Read each and every requirement given by the client because it creates a lot of issue if we miss even one
  2. Correct Business Name matches everywhere on site (Title Bar , Footer, Contact Page).
  3. Fav icon should be placed.( Logo image shown in the title bar)
  4. Logo Size – We have to make sure the logo displayed at the top of the page is showing in full and isn’t cropped or partially missing. and should link to the home page.
  5. Correct Phone Number matches everywhere on site(Header, Footer& Contact Page)
  6. H1 Tag placed properly on each pages given by the client.
  7. Call-to-Action in slider/banner area or above fold
  8. Correct Primary Services listed that match design notes.
  9. Site looks correct on all browsers (Chrome, IE, Safari,firefox)
  10. The contact form must be functional and Put this id to check the form. Whether it is working or not.
  11. When the contact form is filled and sent to the email , it should be with the correct Business name and fields.
  1. The text on the header and banners or anywhere on the site should always be visible .
  2. Ensure site title and additional website information is that of the current client and not of   a previous build (we’ve seen a site title on the browser for a totally different business more than once or a contact form with a header for a previous client)
  1. Font size and spacing looks quality and is easy to read (some websites have text laid over top of the top banner image, and the text can be a little difficult to read)
  2. There should be same margin and padding on top-bottom and left-right.  Each and every section.
  3. Text should have proper spacing on all over the site.
  4. Title must be properly given with(Grammar, Punctuation, Capitalization) on all over the site.
  5. The whole Design of the website looks professional.
  6. We need you guys to start removing those testimonials on the websites you’re building and replace them with that fake latin text “The Lora ipson stuff”

We also need you to start paying attention the gender of the fake name you place in those sections

We are running into 2 situations:

1- The client sees the fake testimonial has a diff business name in it and they get upset

2- The MM overlooks them being fake and pushes the site live with those fake, improper reviews and/or pictures of male or female with reversed names

Here’s the text you can use for all of those testimonials:

“Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat.   1. Can you please talk to the developers to avoid using the “Custom Heading” or “Custom Title” elements whenever possible because they usually end up choosing a font that is inconsistent with the rest of the site.
    The best way to keep things consistent is to stick to h-tags like h1, h2, h3, etc





  1. H tags that were provided were all used on each page
  2. Stock photos on home page match main category exactly
  3. Stock photos on interior pages match EXACT topic of that interior page.
  4. The images should be named as per the website not as you like i.e. a, b c etc.
  5. Use Alt and Title Tags for the images.
  6. Always use optimized images on the site,(you should be resizing images in Photoshop and then optimize the resized image with a tool likecom.)
  7. NO DUMMY CONTENT remaining anywhere on site. except on home page
  8. Photos given by the MM are not stretched/distorted Please check and fix if any image is distorted.
  9. No repetition of images at all i.e. in banners, in pages etc
  10. No repetition of text at all on the


  1. Business NAP ( Name, Address and Phone) Info in Schema Markup listed in Footer
  2. All website footers need the NAP info (Name-Address-Phone).
  3. Akanksolutions Logo placed and is clickable to
  4. All WordPress/Theme branding is removed


  1. Every single page checked on mobile/tablet (No layout issues / No text cut off / Images loading)
  2. Load speeds – We also have issues with load speeds on sites and often times it’s because the site wasn’t optimized with the graphics being used. This is something we also need to start paying more attention to.
  3. Phone Number / Email Clickable
  4. Call to Action visible above the fold on mobile

Final Details

  1. txt Installed
  2. Proper Meta key word and description is must.
  3. URLs are EXACT MATCH of old website. If this is not possible, we need to be notified
  4. Extra pages removed from admin
  5. Extra Plugins removed from Admin
  6. Remove Dummy Blogs, category of blogs from admin.
  7. Remove dummy Media,Projects and content from admin.
  8. NO # tag to be used At all.
  9. All Social media link must go to the proper location.
  10. No extra social media links on the website just place the icons which are available.
  11. All the links like “Read More”, footer links. “Get in touch” etc, should be working.
  12. No broken links / 404 (

Important note: Whenever you’re creating a CSS override that only pertains to one page, please only write it in that specific page rather than piling it up in the Child CSS. You can find the area to make custom css/css overrides for each specific page by clicking on the cog icon in the page editor.

Make sure that we take back up of the website and all back is placed at one place after the edits or the completion is done.
